Circo Escondido is the new programming strand of the Vaudeville Rendez-Vous Festival, dedicated to emerging and recently graduated artists. It offers a space for projects that challenge the boundaries of visibility and explore new ways of relating circus to public space.

Through this open call, five small-scale projects will be selected, portable and fully autonomous, to be presented in unexpected and everyday locations across the public spaces of the cities of Barcelos, Braga, Guimarães, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Famalicão.

Participation conditions

Each project will present one performance during the festival.

Each selected project will receive a fee of €500.

Artists must be available between 15 and 18 July 2026.

Projects must be portable, technically and logistically autonomous, and small-scale.

Applications are open until 3 April.
