The Showcase Online Outdoor Arts Portugal 2025 returns this November to celebrate the creative strength and aesthetic diversity of artistic creation in public space and contemporary circus in Portugal. The session, taking place on 18 November at 15:00 (Central Europe Time), will be broadcast live via YouTube, with access available through the Outdoor Arts Portugal website.

This edition brings together six projects selected through an open call and the creation grants programme, reflecting the multiplicity of languages, formats, and sensibilities that define the national artistic landscape. The selected artists and companies are: Cia. A Nariguda (BUGIGANGA), Cia. Nico (Wine O’Clock!), Concorda (ConcorDanças), Izabel Nejur (GIGANTESCA), Joana Carmo Martins - Coração nas Mãos (How many flamingos does it take to throw a party?), and Margarida Montenÿ (Clamor).

Through pitch-style presentations, the showcase highlights new creations and works ready for touring in summer 2026, fostering connections between artists and cultural programmers from across Europe and beyond. More than a promotional moment, the event stands as an exercise in observation and projection, revealing emerging trends and new ways of understanding public space as an artistic, social, and political arena.

The Showcase Online Outdoor Arts Portugal is one of the strategic actions of the Outdoor Arts Portugal platform, which combines promotion, capacity building, research, and sectoral observation in the field of artistic creation for public space. The event reinforces the platform’s commitment to the internationalisation of the sector, helping to expand the recognition of contemporary dramaturgies, aesthetic experimentation, and the diversity of voices shaping Portuguese artistic creation.

The Outdoor Arts Portugal programme is promoted by Bússola, with the support of the Portuguese Republic - Culture, Youth and Sports, through the Directorate-General for the Arts.
