Dona Persona Company is a cultural association founded in 2015 in São Paulo, Brazil, dedicated to the production and dissemination of theater, circus, and performing arts. Based in Lisbon, the company stands out for its dialogue with diverse audiences, creating original works that explore the boundaries between individual and collective, inner and outer worlds, personal identity and social roles.
Notable productions include: “A Galinha Nanduca” (2018), which addresses social coexistence and access to public spaces; “Pedro, Sopa de Pedra” (2019), a blend of Portuguese folklore and Brazilian folk tales; “The Matriarch’s Flower” (2019), an autobiographical piece exploring the challenges faced by women; and “A Idade Que Vem” (2021), a production using physical theater and animated forms to explore memories through the eyes of an elderly woman.
“Persona” embodies the roles we assume in different contexts. As the name implies, Dona Persona reveals its identity through interaction, aiming to nurture collective experiences.
