Circo
Gustavo Carvalho, was born on September 1, 1996 in São Paulo. He began his career in the circus in 2012 at the Centro Cultural da Juventude (CCJ) in the late afternoon circus courses, at the same time he took part in the circus courses at the Fábricas de Cultura spread across the outskirts of the city of São Paulo. From 2014 to 2015 he was part of the Circus Apprentice at Galpão do Circo. In 2017 he co-created Cia Resto D’ ontê and received support from the VAI Project, in the city of São Paulo, for the creation and circulation of the 3x4 show (Maria Carolina Oliveira and Victor Abreu). In 2018 he crossed the ocean towards Portugal, to study at INAC – Instituto Nacional de Artes do Circo. He participated in the TAC and Cúpula festival with the collective show Hábito (Bruno Machado), in the Vaudeville Rendez-vous festival with the collective show Before the rain (Roberto Magro), and presented his graduation solo MOIRAE at Casa das Artes in Famalicão. In 2020 he joined the Euphorika collective as a performer/dancer and debuted the show Covalência (Victor Abreu) at the AgitÁgueda festival in 2021. In 2022 he participated in the Canais festival in Aveiro as a dancer in the show Corpo de Sal (Malgosia Sur). He has taught aerial techniques at INAC since 2020 and worked as a rigger in shows from the companies CAOS, Cia do Revés, Companhia Absurda and INAC.
