The International Clown Gathering of Vila do Conde returns this October with a rich programme spanning multiple languages and artistic expressions. Now in its 13th edition, the event has become a recognised national and international landmark, drawing inspiration from the theme "New Clown, Old Clown", bringing together generations, memories and possible futures. It is an invitation to dialogue, where experience meets irreverence and laughter is celebrated as a language in constant renewal.

This year, the legendary clown Batatinha will host the Charity Gala. Alongside this iconic figure of Portuguese circus and television, the Gathering will be hosted by Madrid-based artist Fran Fuman, an original clown who performs on a drum kit built to match the scale of his own performative madness. His show, Musicóloco, has captivated audiences across every continent, and this October Vila do Conde will welcome the gags and gigs of this extraordinary clown-musician.
